Lubelski Węgiel ""BOGDANKA"" S.A. acting as one of the most modern hard coal mines in Poland has been awarded many prestigious titles. As the most profitable mining facility in Poland, Bogdanka determines new development trends in the mining sector in our country. EkoKLINKIER Building Ceramic Facility is an example of such environment friendly and diversifying undertaking of “Bogdanka”.

Many years’ explorations carried out by geologists in course of coal beds exploitation in vicinity of Lublin demonstrated high suitability of separated associated carbon rocks for production of ceramic building materials.On the basis of results obtained from analyses and technical research Zakład Ceramiki Budowlanej "EkoKLINKIER" (Ceramic Building Materials Facility in Bogdanka) being the part of the group LW ""Bogdanka"" S.A. for highly automated production of façade bricks has been erected in mid nineties 20th century. As a result of intensive efforts made by the process engineers in Bogdanka and their cooperation with science centres made it possible to precisely define the manufacturing process of bricks in this factory manufacturing façade bricks as the only one in Europe and the second one worldwide in respect of applied technology and raw materials. This fact emphasized uniqueness of the undertaking called ZCB EkoKLINKIER®.
The production line launched in the facility has been built on the basis of licence granted by Occidental Industries Paris and achieved the output of almost 20 million units yearly. Thanks to this investment, the new ceramic products in pastel impressionistic mélange shades have been introduced into Polish building market - collections of EkoKLINKIER® façade bricks establishing the new trend in the colour concept of ceramic facades in Poland..
