Ceramic beauty

The advantages of clinker bricks have been detected in Europe long time ago. First of all, this building material is associated with an unique reliability. The first objects in this category have been erected using the bricks.

In the very beginning, the greatest part of the buildings was erected as sacral objects i.e. monasteries, sanctuaries, churches and architecture elements adjacent to church like belfries or fences.

Many of such structures survived despite of their old age and we can admire not only the talents of ancient architects and builders but also the reliability of used materials.

The styles in architecture, building technology, localization sites of sacral objects varied during all centuries of brick architecture , but the building materials are practically the same. The greatest number of churches is still built of bricks.

Contemporary bricks are available in many forms encompassing standard building bricks, chequer bricks and most perfect kind – clinker bricks. This material made of the best raw materials (clay slates or tones) using the latest technologies (pressed under high pressure, precisely formed) is characterized by improved parameters in comparison with conventional bricks.

Clinker bricks are available on the building materials market in wide spectrum of colours and in the whole palette of shapes and sized. In the opinion of many individual and institutional investors, the possession of façade or other details built of these excellent bricks not only emphasizes an unique character of the objects but also gives them the taste of exclusiveness and majesty. Particularly two last features are important in case of sacral structures.

Polish EkoKLINKIER brand joined to other manufacturers offering their proved ceramic façade bricks since many years. EkoKLINKIER is deservedly associated with the products in unique pastel colours.

As a result of an unique and exclusive manufacturing technology of EkoKLINKIER bricks emphasizes the beauty enchanted in raw material - inconspicuous clay slates . The method of firing – the bricks are produced at temperatures exceeding 11000C, every production phase is the subject of thorough and continuous inspection by the specialists – makes it possible to achieve the colours and shades with charming mélanges and to create a product emanating with impressionism radiance. Moreover – environment friendly manufacturing process as well as EkoKLINKIER bricks have been honoured with environment certificates including European certificate - ISO 14001.

A material resistant to the most important phenomena in civil engineering i.e. frost, humidity and fire has been created as a result of the works carried out by specialists in renowned clinker factories, including those associated with EkoKLINKIER brand. Therefore said material is resistant to negative influence of variable weather conditions and to typical physical damages.

Ceramic facade bricks are characterized by really impressive technical and utility parameters i.e. high compressive strength (exceeding 20 MPa), low water absorption and capability to repeatable frosting and defrosting. Typical features of ceramic bricks is their almost complete resistance to harmful influence of chemical and biological factors. Therefore the material is not degradable and its properties are maintained for hundreds of years.

On their markets,  EkoKLINKIER bricks are more and more frequently used as the material in the building sector including sacral objects. It is not strange, because their regular shapes and their harmony repeating with every element reminds old brickworks in ancient structures and creates the impression of majesty and elegancy. There are no other façade materials which could substitute this effects.

Among sacral objects with the facades built of EkoKLINKIER ceramic façade bricks are the churches in w Dobrosołów k/Konina, Tyniec k/Krakowa and Łęczna k/Lublina. These objects are presented on attached photos.

Those who had the contact with this brand, were impressed by colour palette of Polish manufacturer: SIENA NOVA – sandy mélanges, JANTAR MELANŻ – sand and amber shades, CARMEL MELANŻ –  caramel and amber shades i MORENA – brown and graphite mélanges. Unique aesthetic effect can be achieved every time as a result of a skilful construction made of said brick collections. Created patterns consist not only of harmonized “colours of Earth” but also of play of shadows, semi – tones as well as light – and – shade effect.

Most often the façade bricks are used as an external layer in the cavity wall technology in order to ensure complete protection of insulation layers without any additional impregnation and durability of load – bearing walls i.e. to satisfy the expectations of the investors incurring significant expenditures associated with the erection of their house. Furthermore said technology will ensure the friendly microclimate in the house. The objects with the facades made of façade bricks are characterized among others by favourable heat insulating properties (overall heat transfer coefficient < 0.35W/mK), high fire resistance and perfect acoustic insulation properties (40-50dB).

Owing to their elegancy, facade bricks are used for the construction of the whole planes and facades of buildings as well as in order to emphasize individual architecture details e.g. pedestals or parapets.

Investors are also impressed by the easy maintenance and preservation of this type of construction – occasional washing with water is sufficient – such task is often performed by summer rains, because the nature takes care over the beauty created by human beings .
