Ceramic melanges- impressionism in the colours of Earth

Ceramic facade products, particularly clinker bricks find more and more adherents in Poland appreciating their beauty and durability. Owing to the increasing number of prospective purchasers declaring the purchases of bricks for their facades, such increasing interest can be interpreted as the creation of a new trend. Simultaneously with changes in awareness of many Polish people a new approach to natural environment is created – based upon the need of peaceful coexistence with nature..

The investors willingly use this durable product with the appearance composing with its surroundings – and emphasizing the beauty of the object harmonized with the beauty of nature..

The ceramic bricks from Bogdanka can be used as such facade product. Owing to their pastel colours, our bricks enable the execution of objects facings in the colours of Earth. Another essential feature of EkoKLINKIER bricks consists in the possibility to create the facades of unique beauty using so called mélange effect.

Like the leaves covering the trees in our surroundings and coming in various shades of green , every ceramic collection from Bogdanka is available in a diversified palette of shades. It does not matter if it is the sand collection (SIENA NOVA), Sand – and – coffee collection (CAFENA MELANŻ), sand – and – amber collection (JANTAR MELANŻ), caramel – and amber collection (CARMEL MELANŻ) or brown – and – graphite collection (MORENA) the variations of colour saturation creating diversified character will be always visible in individual bricks. The unique character of these bricks is always the result of these variations being less or more visible. Moreover such diversification is also present within the face of single brick constituting a picture of beauty and harmony painted by the nature.

The spectrum of the colours of bricks in ZCB EkoKLINKIER® depends first of all on the method of their firing – finally ensuring the natural play of shades without any artificial effects.

The clay slate – the gift of nature efficiently processed by man. The environment friendly technology emphasizes the features enchanted in raw material by the nature  - variability of parameters affecting our aesthetical perception of the product and simultaneous maintenance of all properties of good quality façade bricks.

However in order to achieve the charming play of paste colours on the facade built of EkoKLINKIER® cerami products, an extremely important recommendation has to be adhered to by the investor and contractor – the construction must be built of the bricks originating from at at least five pallets simultaneously. The manufacturer additionally recommends proper planning of purchase  - the bricks should be purchased in amount sufficient for whole project scope and supplied in the same delivery.

Such approach will ensure the „random” incorporation of the bricks in the façade. It is the “randomness” which is the basis of mélange effect.

All those who appreciate the beauty and want to leave peacefully with their environment will also appreciate the product from Bogdanka and its undoubtful advantage over other ceramic products in unnaturally uniform colours.

The artificial character of the latter becomes more and more incongruous – owing to its excessive contrast with recognized softening and tranquilizing features. Even without unnatural facades, the streets of our streets are enough irritating owing to the noisy advertisements, shop windows etc.

Therefore contemporary investors are looking for a more harmonized product constituting a challenge for our everyday life full of troubles and problems. Like Monet, Renoir or V. van Gogh who were trying to find the authenticity of nature in the composition of coloured patches of paints, the contemporary investors can look for such authenticity among the bricks from Bogdanka. Their pastel mélanges tranquilize and the play of lights on diversified faces give us positive approach towards live. Furthermore we can emphasize some selected elements of the façade with a different colour of bricks originating from different collection. The objects built of sandy SIENA with the corners, columns and window openings painted by the investor like by an artist using dark honey CARMEL – or may be vice versa – are really charming.

As a matter of fact, the mélanges are a return to the features which were always most important in the facades made of bricks – naturalness and beauty. The first erected brickworks were beautiful and natural. Thanks to a naturally raw material, unique colours among bricks could be achieved. Looking at ancient structures (churches, manors, palaces) built of bricks we can admire the effectiveness of their builders aiming at the integration with nature. These objects seem often to be “growing” from the soil. It happens as a result of proper selection of the shape and building material.

It was the contemporary quest for unnatural perfectionism which introduced the ceramic products with uniform features – colour, shades and at least face surface structure – actually going out of fashion.

Owing to our habits and laziness we tend to fall into line with the fashion associated with mono shaded – frequently red (most popular) – colour of façade bricks.

Maybe it would be better to restore the old proven solutions – enabling the creation of impressionistic features of the facades using unlimited palette of pastels?
