Ceramic slats or.... about EkoKLINKIER façade bricks
Harmony, prestige and elegancy – it is the shortest definition of the values characterizing the ceramic facade bricks used in building sector. This characteristic material becomes more and more popular recently as a result of each of specified features of façade bricks and as a result of …… already increasing requirement of the investors. It happens in case of institutional and individual investors – because the time of hack jobs in the construction sector has already gone.
EkoKLINKIER brand is deservedly associated on the building materials market with ceramic facade bricks in unique pastel colours. This product is produced through the firing of the following clays contained in clay slates: limy – iron clays, limy – magnesium clays or iron clays at temperature up to about 1300oC. as a result of this process a material resistant to three phenomena most important in civil engineering i.e. frost, humidity and fire is created; therefore said material is resistant to negative influence of variable weather conditions and to typical physical damages.
Ceramic facade bricks are characterized by really impressive technical and utility parameters i.e. high compressive strength (exceeding 20 MPa), low water absorption (under 9%) and extraordinary capability to repeatable frosting and defrosting. Typical features of ceramic bricks is their almost complete resistance to harmful influence of chemical and biological factors. Therefore the material is not degradable and its properties are maintained for hundreds tens or even of years.
EkoKLINKIER bricks are more and more frequently used as the material in the building sector. It is not strange, because their regular shapes and their harmony repeating with every element reminds old brickworks in ancient structures and creates the impression of majesty and elegancy. There are no other façade materials which could substitute this effects.
Most often the façade bricks are used as an external layer in the cavity wall technology in order to ensure complete protection of insulation layers without any additional impregnation and durability of load – bearing walls i.e. to satisfy the expectations of the investors incurring significant expenditures associated with the erection of their house. Furthermore said technology will ensure the friendly microclimate in the house. The objects with the facades made of façade bricks are characterized among others by favourable heat insulating properties (overall heat transfer coefficient < 0.35W/mK), very high fire resistance and perfect acoustic insulation properties (40-50dB).
After all, the increase of costs of the whole project in case of construction with the use of façade ceramic products is insignificant only. The average cost of the erection of the building walls corresponds to 10% of the whole funds to be spent for the projects. This value will be increased by additional 3% only as a result of façade layer made of bricks.
Owing to their elegancy, facade bricks are used for the construction of the whole planes and facades of buildings as well as in order to emphasize individual architecture details. It is possible by means of advanced technology of clinker bricks production.
- Nowadays, owing to existing realities and expectations of the investors, the whole system of diversified facing bricks and shaped bricks must be offered by the manufacturers. Therefore it is possible to implement any architectonic undertaking – explained Mr. Andrzej Cisło – the Director of Sales Department in EkoKLINKIER, - Polish manufacturer of ceramic façade materials. – Therefore the offer encompasses, except of full- sized elements – also oval shaped bricks, as well as chamfered, arched, corner ceramic elements and the elements to be incorporated under windows.
The rich spectrum of the colours and shades of this material is an individual market value of the façade bricks. Except of standard colours, the most fashionable natural sandy and honey – brown colours of Polish autumn are available recently. Such collections are included in the range of EkoKLINKIER products. This brand was the first one introducing mélange bricks into the market. EkoKLINKIER products originating from SIENA, JANTAR and CARMEL palettes can be optionally mixed to obtain unique aesthetical effects every time. Created patterns consist not only of harmonized “colours of Earth” but also of play of shadows, semi – tones as well as light – and – shade effect.
