The structure of cavity wall is based upon the principle of correct material selection for individual functions of the wall. The first function i.e. durability of the object structure is performed by the structural – load bearing layer; the latter can be built of ceramic hollow bricks or e.g. of aerated concrete. Another function of external wall is to ensure the thermal insulation corresponding to the climate – wool (e.g. mineral wool) or foamed polystyrene is used for his purpose. The third function of external wall is associated with aesthetical features of the walls as well as its durability and resistance to weather conditions.
